The Mini-Merc Opens

2024 is off to an incredibly exciting start for your Mercantile Librarians.

2023 ended with our packing up our desks, artwork, office supplies, and books in anticipation of our renovation, expansion, and temporary relocation to the Mini-Merc.

On January 2 and 3, we moved multiple carts of books up and across Walnut and Fifth Streets into the Fifth Third Center on Fountain Square, and opened January 4.

The Warner - Huguenin Executive Director John Faherty celebrated the opening by checking out some books to Fifth Third Executive Vice President Bridgit Chayt (and Mercantile Library Board member); and Tim Spence, Fifth Third President and CEO.

Mercantile Board President Gaby Blocher, and Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber Brendon Cull also joined in the celebration. The Chamber is hosting many of our discussion groups and has been a longtime friend & partner.
