Walnut Street Poetry Society

Our longest running poetry group is the Walnut Street Poetry Society (WSPS). The theme for 2022 is Romantic Poetry. We’ll start with the British Romantics and read on to see their influence in modern poetry up until today.

The Walnut Street Poetry Society was founded in 2004 and is devoted to the reading and study of poetry. Sessions are moderated by Dr. Norman Finkelstein, poet and recently retired professor of English at Xavier University, as well as group members. Meets in person and virtually via Zoom, the second Wednesday each month, except July & August.

• Series subscription only: $35 members/$45 nonmembers.
