Epic-ish: Green Knight

This fall, we’re going to tackle some epic-ish poems together. We’ll explore these classic stories and consider why they still captivate us centuries after their creation.

In October, we read Sir Gawain & The Green Knight, and in November, we’ll watch The Green Knight, the 2021 film starring Dev Patel that was adapted from this Camelot story. Beowulf was the first story in this series.

Stephen Yandell, an associate professor at Xavier University, will lead our discussions. Yandell has an expertise in medievalism and popular culture.
