This group reads “music books” that encompass memoirs, biographies, novels that feature music and those involved with it as a subject, collections of short stories written by musicians, books that look critically or historically at music’s cultural impact, and more.

October’s read is The Show That Never Ends: The Rise and Fall of Prog Rock by David Weigel.

November’s book is to be determined.

In December, the group is reading Bob Dylan’s brand new book, The Philosophy of Modern Song.

Steven Rosen, the group’s organizer, is a co-founder of Cincinnati Vinyl Club and former arts editor at Cincinnati CityBeat. He is also the author of Lost Cincinnati Concert Venues of the ’50s and ’60s: From the Surf Club to Ludlow Garage
