Adaptation: Mildred Pierce

Adaptation: Books & Movies considers a book or story and its movie adaptation.

The August selection is Mildred Pierce, a 1945 film directed by Michael Curtiz. It is based on the novel of the same name by James M. Cain. Apparently, William Faulkner contributed to the screenplay, but didn’t get a screen credit.

Free & open to the public. Reservations required. Doors at 6 pm, movie at 6:30.
