About J. Todd Anderson

J. Todd Anderson has been sharing his art with people since he was a young boy drawing pictures of super heroes for his mother’s friends to use on birthday cakes. Art classes in high school were a breeze for him, and as a grownup he continued developing his artistic talents taking film classes in college. He pursued a career in film and eventually connected with the Coen Brothers while they were making Raising Arizona. He was hired to storyboard the film, and found himself using both his art and film skills.

Since then, he has storyboarded such films as, The Predator, The Nice Guys, Men in Black I, Paul, The Dictator, The Stepford Wives, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and many others, in addition to every Coen Brother Film since Raising Arizona. His career in the film industry includes directing two feature films, and acting roles in several films. His character was shot and killed dead while running through the snow in Fargo. See him in the original poster.

Although he claims to be an alien sent to Earth to observe, he is existentially from Dayton, Ohio. See the birthplace of aviation.

According to J. Todd the best part of storyboarding is “when they send me the script and we have a good time drawing, and then when the movie comes out, the movie’s just as good as everything from the beginning.”
